Who am I...?

I'm a web editor from Singapore living in Tokyo. I'm building websites for a living as a writer on the go. I worked in print media for six years until I moved countries and used the Internet as a way to have a viable, mobile career. The Internet is a fascinating space and I never thought I would ever morph into a web chick - but here I am.

This blog is about...

...The ups and downs of expat life, trailing partner issues, food, travel, and Japanese culture. It's a way to keep in touch with friends back home and all over the world, plus it's a corner for me to showcase my work. But really, I'm just a restless spirit looking for great adventures and fabulous food.

Update on our garden

Okay the pictures below are of the housewarming card our friends gave us with an aromatherapy gift. This is just too cute and it represents the cosiness of our little pad.

The kangaroo was so keen to have a vegetable patch in our garden, he got seeds for carrots, lettuce, and bok choy. Isn’t this just way cool? Can’t wait for them to grow. This is our bit of nature in the heart of concrete Tokyo.

Man in action. Everyday, he will wander out to water the seedlings and flowers and watch out for slugs, too.

Our herb patch has basil, rosemary, and lavender, which you can catch a whiff of in the breeze sometimes. What’s lovely about more flowers is butterflies come out to play here. It’s the sweetest spot in our house.
