He looks like an average salaryman on the train platform. But then…

It was stinking hot in the train station, so he whipped out his fan.

Japanese men embrace what the rest of us may perceive as batting from the other side. Man bags are worn by older men, while satchels are toted by young fashionable dudes. Wait till you see some of their shoes! Flamboyantly coloured and pointy toed.

Even a less masculine existence or “herbivorous” approach to life is acceptable and even trendy, to which big companies are hawking products and such. You can read the article here. Such men buy lots of things — from macaroons to cosmetics — and visit their mums regularly.

PS: These pictures were taken by my iPhone. Love it that I can discreetly take interesting photos on the sly as I look like I’m just fiddling with my mobile phone.
