Quick post
I know I’ve been missing for a long time but so many things are happening after my Bali trip and I’m struggling to keep up with my websites for now. The kangaroo’s mum is flying in tomorrow so we would be sightseeing for the next few days. Also, I’ve got two chapters of Japanese homework to tackle before her arrival as there will be zero time to get it done.
Just a sneak peak at what I am working on:
BEAUTY BOX is my little online biz to keep the dollars coming in while we decide on our next career move. I won’t post up the link yet as it is not completely done. Basically, I’m selling beauty and make-up products (international brands like Clarins, Clinique, Benefit, Beaute de KOSE and many more) and supplements (Meiji Amino Collagen) at a heavily discounted price which includes free delivery for Singapore addresses. International customers are very welcomed, too, but there will be a delivery charge.
I’m still torn between buying a domain name for it and positioning it like my other websites — blitzing SEO techniques to spread the word. I started this website with the intention of it being a short-term solution but my optimistic side is murmuring I could sustain this for longer because there are always cool, new beauty products in Japan and my mum wants to market her favourite (and effective) pure alfafa powder supplement.
The downside to the present wordpress blog format is it is very restrictive in terms of design — you cannot choose themes outside the selection offered in your dashboard, and you can’t use basic HTML codes like < p > or < br > so my text looks a little cramped. I can’t dive into the php script to customize it to what I want either.
But, the theme is girly enough for this idea, plus I only really need a straightforward text and photo layout. It functions the way it should, but there could be more oomph…
So should I invest a little bit more in BEAUTY BOX? Let me know your thoughts!
