Old and new

17 Dec

I should be studying for my Japanese exam tomorrow but my attention span has been reduced to that of a three year old’s. Sitting still for an hour is a challenge for me. Anyway, I’m taking a short break to make my Sunday less mundane.

As you can see, my Multiply blog has a new face. I like the blue tent and snowed in look because it matches my mood and state of mind — I’m in my little cave with all the craziness swirling around me. It’s winter in Japan, too. I’ve been pondering on this for a while. Should I switch back to Multiply?

Mr. D asked me to consider this as he thinks the email alerts are such a great feature of this network. He said he’d just read my entries fresh off the press so to speak. He also pointed out that my Multiply site had more comments and my blogspot one is deafeningly silent. He has a point — if it’s convenient for people to read, the more likely they will participate. A personal blog is not a newspaper, but then even newspapers have headline alerts if you choose to have them. In fact, he went on to say Multiply has a new version and perhaps it’s not bugged with loading problems and all?

I don’t know. I wanted something completely different — shedding the old for the new. I was bored of the look but Multiply does offer new templates now and again. What do you think?

In the meantime, I’ll just post on both. :p
