Kitchen nightmares
I found it amusing our pristine party-ready apartment looked so different after our decadent housewarming.
Although I was a little tired and slightly hung over, I was grateful for something to occupy my hands while my brain was dead. I usually work for a few hours on weekends but this habit was impossible to stick to on that Sunday.
The kangaroo was absolutely annihilated and sighed miserably in his restless sleep, so I was a lone crusader in clearing up the party mess. It took me about three hours and our home was back to its squeaky clean homey self.
The last lot of friends were so considerate and separated most of the garbage while we were drinking without a care. That made things so much easier and it shows once again that such civil behaviour is so uniquely Japanese.
