Invited to a Japanese home

Just a quick entry to say the kangaroo and I are going to stay at his colleague’s home on Saturday night so we can ski/snowboard early Sunday morning in Nagano.
We looked up our Culture Shock! book on Japan and it says it’s an absolute honour to be invited to a Japanese friend/colleague’s house. Not only that, tomodachino uchi ni tomarimasu (we’re staying overnight). Tomorrow after a Starbucks’ brekkie, we’re going to buy a nice bottle of Hokkaido sake and a big box of fancy chocolates wrapped in wafer-thin crepe pastry.
English to Japanese dictionary — check. Japanese grammar textbook — check. We’ll be needing these.
Weee….back to travelling.
