Who am I...?

I'm a web editor from Singapore living in Tokyo. I'm building websites for a living as a writer on the go. I worked in print media for six years until I moved countries and used the Internet as a way to have a viable, mobile career. The Internet is a fascinating space and I never thought I would ever morph into a web chick - but here I am.

This blog is about...

...The ups and downs of expat life, trailing partner issues, food, travel, and Japanese culture. It's a way to keep in touch with friends back home and all over the world, plus it's a corner for me to showcase my work. But really, I'm just a restless spirit looking for great adventures and fabulous food.

Introducing…Beauty Box

As promised, I’ve uploaded most of my products so here is the link to BEAUTY BOX, http://www.astrorainfall.wordpress.com, so please help me spread the word!

I’ll give you a summary of how I started this little online beauty biz:

As you know, I’ve been let go of my full-time job in Tokyo, but being the web chick that I am, I decided to do something online so I can monitor it wherever I am (and wherever I may move to).

One of my “star products”, Meiji Amino Collagen (I’ve written about it here), was my original idea to sell in Singapore as a means to earn some quick cash, but I just got inspired to hawk more products.

I can’t reveal my exact sources but I managed to get my hands on a bunch of heavily discounted makeup and beauty products from a friend so I decided to upload them on BEAUTY BOX to get the word out beyond friends and family.

eBay Singapore is proving to be difficult as they only allow new sellers to put up seven listings at a time. How can I sell my products more quickly then? Well, I decided an online web biz was the only way to go and I will apply my SEO knowledge to get more traffic.

My beauty and makeup products are real and authentic, as you can see from my pictures. I would encourage interested buyers to check out the actual product at cosmetic counters so they know exactly what they are getting, but do go to BEAUTY BOX to make your purchase because we are selling them at ridiculous prices!

‘Tis one of the new beginnings I have, despite one door being closed…
