Happy birthday to me
21 Aug
Hey guys, I am officially 32 this year and I’m celebrating my birthday in quite a different way. My birthdays usually involve a lot of eating and imbibing of noxious spirits for the most part but it has changed in recent years.
Last year, I had a fabulous awesome raw dinner at Manna chased by drinks with Tokyo friends at Two Rooms, a super gaijin bar.
But this year, I’m flying to Moscow. Big yay!
I feel very lucky to be able to fly on the kangaroo’s points this year and he also got me my iPad…
With a cover that doubles up as a stand.
And I also received these adorable sunflowers from a girlfriend in Tokyo. It’s super cute that women give each other flowers, especially in Japan. I have also received small bouquets from other girlfriends here before and seen other women receiving them on special occasions too.
And I had a 48-hour stopover in Singapore so I got to see my lovely friends and my gorgeous pups.
Taffy is the queen of my heart.
And I’m Coffee’s walking buddy.
Other honorary mentions (sorry no pictures because the iPad has no USB port to transfer my photos from my digital camera): a vegan birthday brownie that was incredibly rich and sinful; a tube of luscious Italian hand cream that smells comforting and divine at the same time; a sassy iPad cover that is red with silver studs; another birthday cake with strawberries and white chocolate; a sublime Chinese lunch feast with tons of giggles and goss; a nostalgic culinary romp in Chomp Chomp, one of Singapore’s oldest and most iconic food spots; having a home-cooked dinner with the fam; and sneaky duty-free buys; speaking Singlish for a whole day.
What a way to grow a year older!

Happy Birthday
your fiance is very sweet to gift you with ipad and lovely flowers. Have a fun, safe trip to Russia!
Thanks Nic…
The flowers were from a girlfriend actually:)
Btw I thought your latest review on Cellnique was very good. Makes me want to try them out!
happy birthday! =)
hope you’ll have a fun great day =)
Thanks Xuan!
Happy birthday!! And i didn’t know iPad had no USB port! How do you copy pictures in?!
I can’t, so I have to prep my photos for blogging before I leave on my trip. I downloaded a photo bucket app so I can copy the urls of the photos but uploading is not possible.
