Another Went tidbit

27 Aug

Okay, it was a huge turn-on when I found out Wentworth Miller was an English Literature Princeton graduate (ah-hem, in real life). I also took English Lit in uni! See, we have a lot in common.

Anyway, on a certain talk show I dug up on youtube.com, the name “Wentworth” was taken from a Jane Austen novel, Persuasion. The lead character Anne Elliot fell in love with Frederick Wentworth, a young ambitious naval officer, but her family disapproved or something because good girls don’t go with lowly army dudes? Anyway they meet again when he becomes a captain and the love sparring begins. I never read the book. In fact, I used to bitch about having to read Austen’s bloody 18th century chick lit novels for exams.

But it’s cute that his Went’s mother named him after a gallant literary character. Sigh, call me a stalker now.

hahaha… he’s not younger! I think he’s a ’72, but even if he were, my devotion is still undying.

i have to admit, though, the infatuation is waning – who can keep watching 5 episodes a night?!
