Who am I...?

I'm a web editor from Singapore living in Tokyo. I'm building websites for a living as a writer on the go. I worked in print media for six years until I moved countries and used the Internet as a way to have a viable, mobile career. The Internet is a fascinating space and I never thought I would ever morph into a web chick - but here I am.

This blog is about...

...The ups and downs of expat life, trailing partner issues, food, travel, and Japanese culture. It's a way to keep in touch with friends back home and all over the world, plus it's a corner for me to showcase my work. But really, I'm just a restless spirit looking for great adventures and fabulous food.

A short personal update

Apologies for the sudden radio silence but life offline has been busy since last weekend, plus I was facing some problems with my Macbook. I still am as it keeps crashing due to the corruption of its btree data, but I can’t afford the downtime, so restarting it every hour is something I’ve to put up with.

It’s funny how so many things are happening on the work front and they are coming in at the same time. I think I almost forgot how it feels to multitask at such a frenetic pace, but being busy is a blessing and I shall keep reminding this to myself. There’s some Japanese study that I have to get done before tomorrow’s lesson, plus several health articles I’m writing for a freelance gig.

I’ve also got a couple of friends who flew in from Singapore and they are bunking over at my place so it feels great to have a bustling house for a week. Working solo from home, with the kangaroo doing his thing round the world, makes for a very quiet space sometimes, so I’m happy for the company.

Several posts are brewing in my mind and I will publish them later this week when they are ready. I’m making headway in some new directions and might shut down some old ones but more news when that’s really confirmed.

For now, it’s over and out, but I’ll be back soon.
