A seafood treat
…by the foggies who adore anything that swims or languishes on a seabed. It was cute to see my parents so excited about dining out — they are pretty frugal folks but my visit warranted a luxurious spread of sea creatures. So off we went to the old turf club in bukit timah where there is a shopping and seafood restaurant hub.
I can’t say I have good pictures to show off this fantastic chow. We had steamed prawns in herbal tonic soup, grilled giant scallops drowned in a hearty garlic sauce, steamed and black pepper crabs, kailan in oyster sauce… I can’t remember all our dishes but it was mouth-watering.
That’s me posing in front of our dinner while they were still alive.
Sorry for the horrendous picture but this was certainly the best of the lot.
A rare picture of the three of us. Oops, I forgot to send this to them. It’ll be next on my agenda tomorrow. It was touching when my younger sister exclaimed, “Wow! We’re all together at last!”
